Just got one for Christmas and one pedal is lower than other. Works great with my Roland set (TD1-DMK). Sound great but pedals not same height and no adjustment on side of it or cam adjustment.
I think I have to unscrew allen bolts and move it back one notch on the hex axel that holds the cam.

hi my name is nichlas i am 16 and live in denmark i have not been able to live or be at home for 4 years now at least not under the supervision of either the police because he beat me. back to the story he started beating me from when i was 6 to i was 12 and was sent away by goverment he beat me over the least things e.g. if I did not wear enough clothes when I was outside or if my sisters did something wrong then it was my fault because I am the eldest and it was my fault that they did not behave properly my mother did not want it but could not do anything since she is a small lady (5.4) and he is a relatively large man (6.2) well but as I said he beat me overdet least but never my siblings. I have so many histioies about all the times he has beaten me but two of them I never. it was a hot summer day and we were going to have breakfast outside on our terrace when me and my little sister years on one of those plastic drawers you push under his bed but things you igge use or things you want to store but npr min little sister goes up on it to be able to sit down it is my turn when I go up on it it breaks and he hear it I do not think so much of it as we did not use it and it just stood out there so we had more space inside the house he gets up and goes over and picks it up he takes it over his head and hits me in the top of the head with it so I started to bleed and had to go to the hospital to get my head sewn together and there after when I coming home the first thing he does is beat me and send me into my room where I sat there the rest of the evening my mother came in with dinner for me. Story 2. It's in the middle of decemper (2013) and I had not slept all night because I sat and played with my friends online when I then get '' woken '' I was thrown outside in the middle of the snow only in underpants it was so fucking cold that I had to knock on the door of the neighbor to ask if I could come in our neighbor ver a sweet old lady in her late 70s maybe start 80 there I saf until my mother came and knocked to say he was taken at work my mother know I would go in there as that was what I used to do if he did not send me into my room but when he came home he hit me in the head threw me into a bookcase and threw me out again I sat there waiting 15 minutes for my mom to come and open the door for me I will say myself that I had a hard childhood but it all got a little better when I was forcibly placed in a boarding school for children with problems at home where I lived from when I was 12 until I was 15 and after that I moved to a place to live and here I have lived for 1½ years and my mother has finally got enough money to be able to get a divorce and get a new house and the necessary things so that means I can finally come home and see my family again without the police sides out in the living room

There's too much stuff for me to go into, but there are just so many ways we've messed up this planet. I'm not a climate scientist, but the data I've seen suggests that at this point things are essentially irreversible, even if all the countries and companies of the world abruptly decided to do the right thing right now (which isn't going to happen, the social and economic forces are too strong for them to change their ways now).
All we can do is try to prepare for what things are going to look like as climate change evolves. I wish I knew what that looked like, but everyone's still focused on stopping something that's inevitable. Depending on what you think the future look like, survivalism/prepping might be the rational thing to do (though that should be more the homesteading variety rather than the "30 guns in the basement" kind).
What're your thoughts? How should individuals and societies prepare?

Hi Antiwork,
Long time lurker, first time poster. I have been horrified reading posts on this subreddit over the last number of months because how terribly managers are treating their employees. It seems like every day I see over ten posts where management has completely failed to recognize their primary job duty… to create a work environment that brings out the best in people. I see this subreddit’s popularity partially as a response to horrible management practices becoming so widespread, and management failing to respond to trends in the both the labor market and the economy.
I am a 30-something vice president at a medium-sized consulting company in Texas. I currently manage a department of five people but have been in positions before where I managed as many as eighteen people. I never had any kind of management training, and I got a degree in history, so everything I know about managing people has been from personal experience and my own beliefs about how to get the best out of employees. All of my views are guided by the golden rule. That said, there appears to be a great amount of confusion among both middle and senior management in all types of industry (professional, service, manufacturing, etc.) about why their workers are pissed-off and quitting. In response, I am creating a straightforward guide here for their reference. While this list is not comprehensive, it is a great starting point for managers seeking answers for why their staff morale is low.
Transparency in Job Postings
When you are interviewing someone for a job, they should know the exact pay, overtime expectations, advancement potential, and job duties involved in the position. Deceiving new hires is a disgusting practice that will only lead to more work for everyone overall. Additionally, all employees are smart enough to know when they have been misled. I have seen posts on Antiwork where people were deceived about the starting wage or ended up working the jobs of three people. As a manager, you need to ensure the new employee’s position does not deviate from the original description unless you are promoting that individual to a new position with additional responsibilities. Millions of workers have accepted their job radically changing without any formal advancement, which is not how it should work. It is simply not a good management practice and inevitably leads to employee resentment. As a manager, you should absolutely give your capable employees more work, but new responsibilities need to come with title and wage adjustments.
Health and Safety of Employees
As a manager, the health and safety of your employees at work is your responsibility. This includes mental health. Overworking your employees and/or not respecting their time off will lead to burnout and job resentment. This leads to employees not putting their best effort into their work. Additionally, ensuring your employees have sufficient PPI or other equipment necessary for their jobs is your responsibility. If wearing uniforms is required in your workplace, you must provide this at no cost to the employee. Much of this is already the law but too many employers have skirted this law for years. Additionally, I consider it a best practice to not force employees to take PTO to go to doctor appointments or therapy sessions. Medical appointments like these are necessary if you are going to get the best out of your employees and taking away their vacation time over the appointments is punitive. Additionally, never ask your employees about their heath issues, physical or otherwise. If they want to tell you, they will. Otherwise it is none of your business. If you do not trust an employee enough to use the honor system for doctor appointments, you need to evaluate why you employ people you do not trust. My experience tells me that 95% of workers will respect an honor system with this kind of arrangement, and it is a rare worker that will try to take advantage of you.
Recognize Your Role in the Workplace
You are not your employees’ best friends or their family. You should not try to be these things. However, you do want to build trust with your employees and trust goes both ways. It is easy to show your employees that you trust them. You should always be advocating for your employee to (1) earn more money, and (2) advance their professional careers. I have sent my top employees management job postings from other companies and told them they are qualified. Of course, my staff aways has a good reference in me. Every time we are doing performance reviews, I go back through my email and create a list of all the accomplishments each employee has made throughout the year and provide the list to HR and ownership, advocating for a raise of at least 10%. This kind of stuff is easy, and your employees notice it. Obviously, never yell at an employee or talk down to employee. There are no exceptions to this rule. If I am senior management and I catch a middle manager yelling at an employee, the manager will be terminated even if they are critical to operations. If you develop trust with your employees, you will be able to laugh, joke, do happy hour, etc. with them. But all of that stuff is meaningless if you are not supporting their growth and well-being. This is your primary role as a manager.
Getting the Best Results (Deliverables) in the Workplace
At work, we try to do our best to please clients, ownership, and other stakeholders. As a manager, you are 100% responsible for the work of your team. There is a common phrase: “Shit always rolls downhill.” That is a toxic and ineffective management trait. If one of my employees makes a mistake and the client notices, it is my responsibility to be accountable for that error and explain what we are doing to ensure it never happens again. Mistakes happen at work. If you are doing an excellent job managing people, your workers will inherently want to do their jobs perfectly. The majority of workers value workplace autonomy and want to be successful in the workplace. This is why all the points above matter so much – you must strive create a career path where the employee is inherently motivated to master their craft rather than simply being afraid of various consequences. In my experience, people enjoy doing great work, but only if all of their other needs are met first.
Giving Staff Autonomy and Providing for Their Growth
How should managers best demonstrate they care about their employees’ growth? This is an open-ended question, and I will provide examples that have worked for me. When you give an employee a task that is part of their job but not a normal duty, I like to email the employee and copy two to three of their peers, so everyone knows what that person is working on. Phrases like “Will you manage this for us?” and “If you need any help, please reply all so we can work together on ensuring we have proper resources allocated to this task,” go a long way. That way the employee knows that they have the support they need. Employees over the years have simply dropped me from email chains and delegated among themselves. Employees are smart enough to do this without micromanagement. Then when they complete the task, they will respond and tell me what they did and who did each part of the task. The next time I need a similar task done, I email the same group. This builds teamwork and cohesion among employees while simultaneously letting them choose who they want to work with. Also, do not overbook your people with pointless meetings. When my office went remote, I asked my team if we should do a daily, weekly, or monthly team meeting to check in. The staff selected weekly meetings and we use that meeting to answer questions and collaborate on various creative challenges someone is dealing with. I also have an “open door” policy and my team texts me throughout the day, and I try to always over-answer their question in writing so they can understand the entire issue and all of the “Whys” that may be involved in their “What” type of question. I want each staff member to naturally learn my job so one day they can go work for my company’s competitors and make more money than me (if they so choose).
Publicly Celebrate Your Team
As discussed, getting the best out of your workers is your job as a manager. When they succeed, so do you. However, never take credit for their accomplishments or pass their work off as your own. When someone on my team accomplishes something special, I like to send company ownership an email with the employee copied explaining the accomplishment. Often times, the company I work for will send out a company-wide email celebrating the accomplishment. This is the kind of stuff that matters during annual reviews and compensation adjustments. Your employees constantly demonstrate value to you but do not let their accomplishments die with you; by passing along the success of your employees to other leadership figures, you are also showing that you are also doing your job well. You trained the person that just did a wonderful thing, right? As manager, it is your fault if something goes wrong, and it is the employee’s success if everything goes right. That is part of the reason you are compensated differently than your staff.

TLDR- I'm depressed and I don't know if I should stay in touch with friends cause I don't know if they really care about me.
Some backstory- So I moved to a new country alone when I was 20-21 cause I wanted to study at uni and couldn't afford it back home. Been here for almost 4 years. I'm struggling with studying the language so no uni for me, another factor in my depression. (I have been at therapy but cannot afford it anymore so not an option BTW). At the beginning everything was OK, but since Corona I'm unemployed and therefore my only human interaction is my introverted boyfriend.
To the problem- I have (/had) some good friends(M24, F24) that I used to talk about everything, but I haven't seen then in almost 3 years, I bearly talk to them anymore and I lately noticed that if I don't ask them how they are doing they never ask me, hell sometimes they don't even ask back when I ask. I recently told them how shitty I was feeling and in respond they asked if I still see my therapist, which I respond no and they responded with ohh. And that was the conversation.
Anyhow I wanted to talk to them about it today cause I really feel alone and depressed and I just want to die, and I feel like they just don't care about me anymore. But instead of sending the original message I just asked them to talk in private instead of in the group cause it's a private conversation between them. To which they responded, they wanted me to feel apart of the group so they keep sending it there. But I don't feel apart, I feel more alone and lonely then I knew was possible. And I don't know what do to. I legit am not sure anymore I see them as friends, more like strangers, but I don't know if it's just my overall shitty life that clouding my judgment or should I just except the fact they are no longer my friends and I just need to except the fact that I'm friendless, it feels like this.
Any advice?

Hello everyone I'm an 19 year old male with a perfectly normal bmi (5"9 153lbs or 175cm 70kg). I've never smoked in my life, I've never tried drugs and I don't drink alcohol. No history of cancer or heart issues in my family.
So it all begun this July when I woke up with an intense chest pain, I thought I was having a heart attack and my mother slashed me to the ER. I had a blood test, EKG, ultrasound everything was clear. One week later I caught covid, but the symptoms were mild and I was also vaccinated.
So in September I took a CBC again in order to get an Accutane treatment for my acne. The CBC came back with high WBC and lymphocytes (10.1 and 48 normals are 4.0-10.0 for WBC and 20-38 for lymphocytes). They told me it might be cause of covid and I should retake the CBC in a month. Meanwhile I begun to get daily intense chest pains, at the upper left part where I can feel my heart. So I got another appointment with a cardiologist.
In October I went to the cardiologist who did an EKG, echo, 48 Holter everything came back fine again. So they told me I don't have any heart issues. Now my CBC came back with more elevated wbc and lymphocytes (11 and 48). At the time I had also developed everyday abdominal pains. And lots of gasses, like I have to fart all the time, and the farts last long. Also I feel a fullness to my abdomen and I get spasms or fasciculations? all over my body everyday. I got an abdominal ultrasound which came back normal. My poop also comes back in thin layers which looks nothing like before.
In December I met with an hematologist/oncologist who put me on like 30 tests and everything came back clear except my WBC (which were again elevated at 12.6 this Time and lymphocytes at 47) in September they were 10.1 and in December 12.6 the hematologist told me that I have a reactive lymphocyticosis and it's nothing serious. (before I caught covid in July at the ER my CBC was perfectly normal). He said I should retake a CBC in 6 months in order to check.
I also visited a gastroenterologist who said that I probably have nothing since I'm too young and prescribed me omeprazole for 30 days. It didn't help at all. I also take vit D supplements because I have a deficiency. I also had a poop culture which came back clear. I decided that I should look into my thyroid for the heart etc. So I got a thyroid ultrasound and some labs with bloodwork. Everything came back clear again. Along with some inflammation labs CRP, igm igg, igg which were negative
Now it's been like 5 months that I'm leaving in daily pain, I can feel something like a rapid heartbeat in my abdomen, hands back etc, my body is pumping all the time. I think they're called fasciculations, I get them like every 20 minutes and it's so so annoying. I also get the intense chest pains everyday, I feel like my heart is gonna leave me or something. It's really painful and I feel like dying. My abdomen also hurts everyday. I have so much Gass, and ramblings. Which I can't stand. My belly usually hurts at the upper left part.
I also got covid again, just a few days before new year, im afraid to take a CBC now, cause I believe that my WBC will have skyrocketed. My symptoms were worse than first time. I had a high fever for 2 days (38.5-39.5C and I still have some cough). I feel that this will really mess my immune system more than it's already messed up. I guess it's already messed up, because my covid symptoms were much worse than in July, even though I had the delta variant in July and now the omicron which is weaker.
I asked if I can get a colonscopy but they told me that they're meant for people over the age of 50. And me with no family history I'm not a candidate for it. Pretty much every test I've taken comes up normal Except my wbc which keep raising every month. I'm so afraid that I have something serious like cancer or crohn's.
My quality of life has really deteriorated, I can't study any more(afraid I'm gonna fail my uni finals), I can't do anything. I'm in daily pain. My heart hurts. My acne has dominated my body it's really everywhere (chest, back, butt, face even thighs, we're talking really bad cystic acne here not pimples) and with bad break outs. I can't lie on my bed because my back bleeds because of it. And I still haven't gotten the Accutane because of my blood. I also want to start working out, but the pains are scaring the shit out of me. Thinking that I'm gonna pass on the treadmill or something. The acne has also destroyed my self esteem and it's worse than ever (been battling with it for almost 5 years now)
I don't wanna die yet but my life is really shitty. Hell I would give everything to feel good again. Tbh I don't know what tests I can take anymore. To shed some light in my case. Should I ask for an MRI? My parents have really got full of me, I've ripped them off by dragging them to so many appointments(I've had more than 15-20 since July) they have to pay.
I can literally feel my left part of my belly pumping right now, like when I touch my heart. I also get some sharp pains here and there that last a few seconds. I'm so afraid it's cancer or autoimmune which will make me suffer for life, only the thought of it makes me wanna vomit. I'm only 19 goddammit
